2023 Come Alive in D5 Final Schedule released
The final schedule of events, map of the facility, and general information to make your experience at Come Alive in D5 easier has been released. This includes a link to the Zoom orientation, to be held on April 11 from 5:30 to 6:15 pm.
Please note: If you are participating in BOTH Fashion Show AND Duds to Dazzle – you will complete your Fashion Show Interview first, then go to Duds to Dazzle for a staggered team start.
3-D Archery Meet
Registration for the Ronald Barlow Memorial 3-D Archery Meet is now open in 4HOnline. This contest is open to all 4-H members statewide and is also open to adults with their youth participant. This contest will be held in San Augustine at Fairway Farms on Saturday, May 6, 2023. Registration runs until April 18th, with late registration available from April 19th – 21st (late fees apply).

Registration for Livestock and Meat Judging Contests open
The Multi-District Livestock Judging and Meat Judging contests are open for registration in 4HOnline. These contests are held in Bryan and College Station respectively. The contests are scheduled for April 22, 2023 and registration runs through April 3rd.
Horse Judging registration
Regular registration for the District Horse Judging competition closes on March 20th. This year the event is only for District 5 members, and will be held in Tyler at the Cross Brand Cowboy Church.
Late registration runs from March 21 – 24. Late fees will apply during this time, so hurry and find a team of 3 – 4 members of the same age division and get those registrations in before to save some money.

2023 National 4-H Conference Delegation
Congratulations to Dylan Lynch, Jasper County, who has been selected to represent Texas 4-H at the 2023 National 4-H Conference. Dylan will travel to Arlington, VA in April 2023.
National 4-H Conference is the pinnacle experience in 4-H Civic Engagement, providing the opportunity for young people to connect, learn, engage, lead and impact their communities, nation and world. At the conference, delegates will have the opportunity to participate in round table discussions and present to federal partner agencies along with the opportunity for delegates to engage with their U.S. Senators and Representatives.
2022-2023 National 4-H Contest Results

2023 Record Book Training
A Record Book Workshop for agents, parents and youth is scheduled for Tuesday, February 7th via Zoom beginning at 5:30 p.m. Information on how to create a Record Book, tips for successful judging, and use of positive phrases will be provided.
