This event is for 4-H volunteers interested in getting certified to become a Shooting Sports coach. District 5 is hosting a 4-H Shooting Sports Coach’s Certification in Pistol, Rifle, Archery OR Shotgun (only 1 discipline). This is a 2-day workshop to be held in Frankston, TX. It is open to any 4-H volunteer and qualifying youth statewide.
You MUST take the online training prior to attending this event. Please see the State 4-H Shooting Sports webpage: https://texas4-h.tamu.edu/projects/shooting-sports/ for information on how to take this training. It will entail a $20 dollar registration fee. You can access the online training here.
The Waiver that is required to participate is available below. Please print the form, complete and sign it, and bring the original signed form with you to turn in at check-in on Saturday morning. If you are a Youth Assistant Coach Candidate, you will need to bring the original signed copy of the Assistant Coach Acknowledgement Youth Form with you in addition to the Waiver, Indemnification and Medical Treatment Form to turn in on that Saturday morning.
