Jhett 1Jhett Jackson, Wood County, President

Jhett is a 9 year member of the Quitman 4-H Club and has been involved in horse, dairy, and poultry projects as well as public speaking and numerous other community service activities. He has served in various officer positions at the club and county level. He is also the reigning Texas 4-H State Calf Roping Champion and is the son of Jerry and Tracie Jackson.


Caleb 2Caleb Sumrall, Newton County, 1st Vice President

My name is Caleb Sumrall, I’m from Newton County and I am your new District 5 1st Vice President. I have been in 4-H for 11 years and I show animals, do Livestock Judging, and Natural Resources. I play Football and Baseball for Newton High School and also do Track and Powerlifting. I am very proud to represent District 5 on Texas State Council and am looking forward to a great year!!!


Caitlin 1Caitlyn Reed, Upshur County, 2nd Vice President

Caitlin has been a part of 4-H for 9 years and feels the organization has shaped and prepared her to be one of the next generation of leaders. Her goal as 2nd Vice President is to “spark” passion across the district while being the best 4-H representative she can be. Caitlin’s primary projects are Veterinary Science and Horse. Her future plan is to attend Texas A&M University where she will study Biomedical Science with the end goal of earning a PhD in Micro genetics. Caitlin is a senior at New Diana High school where she is a member of the National Honor Society and President of her FFA chapter. In addition, she is a National Director for the American Paint Horse Association, representing Texas. Caitlin is honored to have been given this opportunity and is excited for the year of service during 2015-2016.


Jennings 1Jennings Sanders, Angelina County, 3rd Vice President


Lee Ellen 1Lee Ellen Pearman, Cherokee County, Secretary

Lee Ellen Pearman is a junior at Alto High School. She is a member of FFA, National Honor Society, the varsity golf team, and varsity twirling. She has been a member of 4-H for two years and was elected president of her club for 2014-2015. She has exhibited Beefmaster heifers for eight years and is a member of the Junior Beefmaster Breeders Association. She has been accepted into the Texas 4-H Livestock Ambassador Program and is very excited to learn more about agriculture. She plans to attend either Sam Houston State University or Texas A&M and major in an agricultural career, more specifically, a career involved with cattle such as an embryologist or A.I. technician. She feels blessed to have this opportunity and cannot wait for an exciting year.


Mikayla 1Mikayla Davidson, Trinity County, Public Relations

Mikayla Davidson is a junior at Apple Springs High School. She is president of Apple Springs FFA, president of the goat division of the TJLA, secretary of the McGee Bend District, and reporter of the East County 4-H. Mikayla travels the state of Texas exhibiting goats and sheep and enjoys sharing that passion with others at livestock shows. Additionally, she plays varsity softball and volleyball and began attending college in her sophomore year. Mikayla’s future plans include graduating high school at the top of her class and attending Texas A&M University, while continuing to positively promote 4-H and Agriculture.
