Brock Fry posted the results of the Virtual Fishing Event held on September 14 to the D5 Facebook page. Below is his post. Remember, this is a tournament and there are several more fishing events scheduled. The next one is October 26th. Your registration for the tournament on 4-H Connect covers all the events in the tournament. If you’ve already registered, great! If not, do it and join in the fun. 🙂
Results of the District 5 Virtual Fishing Tournament Sept. 14th:
1. Clay Schelling 17 inches 2.74 lbs, Marion County
2. River Hillin 16.5 inches 2.49 lbs, Rusk County
3. Caleb Cameron 14 inches 1.45 lbs, Tyler County
Congratulations to the first tournament winners.
I know there were several others who fished and just did not post a fish. Way to go and you will have another shot at the next tournament on October 26th. Get your friends together and head to a pond, lake, or river. BE SAFE! HAVE FUN! You are allowed to catch as many fish as possible and post them. Your Top 5 Bass will count towards the winning weight. As more youth come on board it will be increasingly important to use a check it stick as seen in an earlier post. It will also be important that I can read your length by the photo or it may not count!
